For me, property has always represented more than bricks and mortar. It can provide stability, security and, importantly, a route to social mobility.
Growing up, my family and I lived together in a single room. As I got older, I watched members of my family gradually become homeowners and saw first-hand how property ownership could change a family's circumstances. Owning a home created greater stability, opportunity and a foundation from which to build for the future. That experience shaped the way I view property today.
My career, however, didn't begin in financial services. After completing both a BSc and an MSc, I started my professional career in management consultancy, working with businesses to help them become more efficient, improve their operations and solve complex problems.
While working as a management consultant, I developed an increasing interest in property and eventually made my first property investment. What began as a personal investment quickly became a genuine passion. I found myself increasingly interested not only in property itself, but in the finance behind it — how mortgages work, how different lenders approach cases and how the right financial solution can help someone achieve their property goals.
It soon became clear that property and mortgage advice was the natural direction for my career.
I made the decision to completely change profession and completed the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP). After qualifying, I secured a position within a leading UK estate agency and property services group, where I received professional training and gained valuable experience working within the mortgage and property industry.
I later moved to a boutique mortgage brokerage, where I was able to further refine my knowledge, develop my approach to client advice and work with a wider variety of circumstances and property finance needs.
After building that experience, I decided it was time to take the next step and establish Fuad Financial Services.
The business has been built around a simple principle: clients should receive clear, personal and thoughtful advice from someone who genuinely understands the importance of property ownership.
Whether you're buying your first home, remortgaging, building a property portfolio or exploring more specialist finance, my aim is to make the process easier to understand and help you make informed decisions with confidence.
For me, every mortgage represents more than a financial transaction. It can represent a first home, greater security, an investment for the future or another step forward for a family.
